Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani's friendship has stood the test of time. The two first worked together in Star Plus' one of the most popular and longest running show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The show broke all the records of popularity and still continues to be counted as iconic show in the history of Hindi television.

After a successful career in television, Smriti Irani has now shifted to politics and is currently the Textile Minister of India. But her post hasn't changes her equation with her friend Ekta Kapoor.
