Dynamics of the industry has changed considerably: Jyoti Mukherjee of ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’

Star Bharat show ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’ is getting appreciation from the viewers. The show is produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms and has a stellar star cast including actors like Giaa Manek, Mohammed Nazim, Rupal Patel among others.

The show also stars actress Jyoti Mukherjee who has made a comeback with the show after a few years. Jyoti has proved her acting brilliance in more than 20 television serials, and films including projects like Gharana, Kitty Party, Mulk, Santaan , Aandhi, Asha ki Kiran and Prratima. She started her TV journey in 2000 with filmmaker Anurag Basu’s show, Manzilein Apni Apni, as the lead. 

Speaking about the changed dynamics of the industry, Jyoti said, “It’s a new world. Life has really changed… When I wanted to get back to work, I realised the people that I had worked with, are not there in the television industry anymore. The creative department has come in, and now, it’s the channel's call… Initially, the producers ruled".

She added, "One thing that has changed because of the pandemic is do your own audition at home and send it to the production house. Like, I had to audition for this role and many roles as I was trying to get back to work for quite some time. But I didn’t know the production houses and they didn’t know me, so for them I was like a newcomer, wanting to get work”.
