Drugs case: South actress Shweta Kumari arrested by NCB in Mumbai
The NCB conducted raids against drugs supply in Maharashtra and Goa and detained Kannada actress Shweta Kumari and allegedly seized 400 gram of Mephedrone (MD).

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been thoroughly investigating the drug case, which emerged out of the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe in June last year.
The NCB conducted raids against drugs supply at several places in Maharashtra and Goa. During the raid at a Mumbai Hotel, the officials detained Kannada actress Shweta Kumari and allegedly seized 400 gram of Mephedrone (MD). The 27-year-old actress who is a resident of Hyderabad was then taken into custody.
The officials also searched Crown Business Hotel situated at Mira-Bhayander area.
Sameer Wankhede, Zonal director of NCB, informed that a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Kumari. The NCB has also launched operations to catch hold of the main supplier along with peddlers. The agency is also focusing on a financial investigation in seizure cases of an interstate drug syndicate, reports ANI.
Meanwhile, in the last few months, noted Sandalwood actresses, Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani were also arrested for their alleged involvement in a drug racket.
