Double XL teaser: Huma Qureshi & Sonakshi Sinha hilariously take a dig on body shaming; to release on Oct 14

Around the world, the topic of body shaming has gained traction, with many celebrities publicly discussing it and criticizing those who condemn others. Now taking the bull by its horns is the Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi-starrer film Double XL and the teaser of the film is out now. Billed as a slice-of-life comedy-drama that explores stereotypes around body weight, the upcoming film is directed by Satramm Ramani of "Helmet" fame and is all set to release on 14th October.

Talking about the teaser, Huma Qureshi hilariously talks about how she struggles to fit in jeans while Sonakshi adds, saying people are okay with plus-sized breasts but the waist has to be toned.

Sharing the teaser on their respective Instagram accounts the actors wrote, 

"From fries to fun... all good things in life come in #DoubleXL sizes! A story of friendship and dreams filled with masti is coming in cinemas near you on 14th Oct 2022,"

For the unversed, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi underwent a massive body transformation. They had even piled on the extra pounds for their roles in the film. Apart from Huma and Sona the film also stars Zaheer Iqbal, Mahat Raghavendra, and a talented ensemble star cast.

The film is shot extensively in India and the UK, Double XL explores a journey into the hearts of two plus-size women, one from heartland Uttar Pradesh and the other from the urban New Delhi, as they navigate through a society that’s often attributed to beauty or attraction to a woman’s size.

The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, Wakaoo Films & Mudassar Aziz in association with T-Series Films. Double XL is a Wakaoo Films, Elemen3 Entertainment & Reclining Seats Cinema Production.
