“DJs are very underrated”, says actor and DJ Ali Merchant

A well known actor, DJ, anchor, and music producer, Ali Merchant needs no introduction; he has won hearts everywhere. Best known for his roles in fiction as well as non-fiction television soaps, he was recently seen collecting awes in the reality show ‘Lock Upp’. The actor will soon be seen taking over screens in a web series where he’ll be playing the role of a cop: we can’t wait to see him ace this role as well!

Ali Merchant is famed as an actor and his name is everywhere. However, he may be less known as a DJ so we recently got in touch with him to understand his perspective on being one and here’s what he had to say.

“DJs are very underrated. I’m blessed to have achieved fame due to my acting but for those relying only on DJing, I can understand that they feel unappreciated.”, says the actor and DJ. There’s no doubt that we need music in every aspect of our lives right from when we’re going on long drives with family or friends to dancing at nightclubs. Life without DJs would be incomplete and yet they aren’t given the fame the well-earned recognition.

Ali Merchant admits that being a DJ is not only a fulfilling passion but it’s a great way to loosen up too. “I love being a DJ. It’s greatly satisfying and accomplishing.” He believes that the audience should give DJs the love and credibility they deserve.
