Riding high on the success of her most recent projects, Divya Agarwal has been unstoppable off lately. The talented actress showed up in the industry with her bindass attitude, winning reality shows after reality shows. She soon moved on to conquering the acting space with out-of-the-box roles. And while her on-ward and upward journey continues, one arena that Divya had conquered long ago was the field of dance. Anyone who knows Divya is aware of how the lady never stops moving, quite literally. From opening a dance academy of her own to enthralling everyone with her on-point dance moves, Divya Agarwal chatted with us on the occasion of International Dance Day and spoke about the place that dance has in her life.

Ask her what dance means to her and she answers without hesitation, "I dance to exist and exist to dance. That's how much I relate to it. Dance is something that has always given me everything that I wanted in life. I would give dancing 70% of the credit for the acting skills that I possess today. I have 100% confidence in myself now and that is because of how much I was into dancing as a child."

Going down memory lane, Divya recalled how the dancing keeda caught on to her. "During my growing up days, I remember watching movies like Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Taal. They had some amazing dance performances. They invoked something so deep in me and looking at them, I knew I had to dance. I related so much to the performances and that's where my journey began. And now, I dance to express."

Divya is one of those people who did end up making something out of her intense passion for dance. She opened her own dance studio in Navi Mumbai where she resided as a child. Confirming the same, Divya opened up and said, "My dance studio in Navi Mumbai is awesome. We had 700 to 800 students at a time and we would choreograph their functions and events. I just wanted to help students experience the joy and gain the confidence that dance instilled in me. In fact, had I realized my love for dancing earlier in my childhood, I would have requested my parents to start my classes and training way before."

Here's a little tidbit for you all. Divya was so excelled in dance that she was one of the choreographers for IPL finale in 2008 which saw close to 3000 dancers perform. She calls that one of her most cherished and greatest experiences. And who wouldn't? Divya was only 16 years old.

With Divya taking center stage in multiple ambitious acting projects, we asked her if she has time in her chock-a-block calendar for dancing. To this, Divya reveals that she never stops dancing. "I always find time to dance. Wherever I go, whatever I do, I keep moving and dancing. I have no control over my body. For me, it's not like I dance only when I want to or have to. My body just starts grooving. I think if I have learned something about passion, it’s only dance and I will always do whatever I can for dancing," she signs off.
