Dilip Kumar hospitalized!

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to hospital early morning today after he complained of having respiratory problems. The actor was rushed to Leelavati hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

According to a report in leading daily, the actor was admitted to hospital around 2-2.30 am and was diagnosed with pneumonia. He is now undergoing treatment.

The report quoted a source stating that, "Dilip Kumar ji had fever yesterday and he vomited a few times. Later, he was admitted to Lilavati hospital at 2 am for respiratory problems. He's not in the ICU, but doctors are keeping a close watch on him," Dr. Jalil Parkar (Lilavati Hospital) told ANI. He added that while he is stable, the next 72 hours are important. "If he does not recover well in 48 hours, we'll have to shift him". [sic]

The 93 years old actor is also the recipient of Padma Vibhushan Award for his contribution to the Indian cinema. He has worked in films like Kranti" (1981), "Shakti" (1982), "Karma" (1986) and "Saudagar" (1991) and others. His last film was "Qila" (1998).
