Did you know, Taapsee Pannu’s Badla was originally written for a ‘Male character’?

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu recently announced her collaboration with director Anurag Kashyap after Manmarziyaan. The two are working together on a sci-fi film, titled Dobaara. Apart from that, Taapsee will also reunite with ‘Badla’ producer Sunir Khetarpal for ‘Dobaaraa’ and the actress took to her social media handles to share a heartwarming BTS picture with the filmmaker.

The picture featured Taapsee and Sunir adorably hugging each other on the sets and her caption read,  “My #DobaaraaSeries some collaborations deserve to be repeated.”

She further revealed her bizarre request to the producer of her upcoming film and mentioned that she requested to flip the male character written originally in Badla to female. 

“Coz he had the rare courage to say yes to my bizarre request to flip the male character written originally in Badla to female when everyone around was busy doing it the other way round and a producer could easily pitch it to a male star and safeguard his Risk quotient before release itself. P.S- also he got me for a ‘steal price’ so I’m making sure I compensate that cost in multiple films we will work together on! ??@sunirkheterpal ???? cheers to bossing you #Dobaaraa” added Taapsee.

Earlier, during the announcement of Dobaaraa Taapsee and Anurag both took to social media to share an announcement video for the movie. The video featured Taapsee arriving back home and reading a few scripts to choose her next project and later learns that a storm is looming over the city, that is coming back after many years on the same date and at the same time. 

As she asks Alexa to play her an interesting movie, Anurag who appears on her screen who can be seen playing a game of pool on the other side of the television screen and informs her about the film he wants to offer her.
