Did You know? 'Kasautii..' sisters Erica and Charvi were supposed to be sisters in this show too!

Everyone is aware of the amazing sister duo bond of Prerna and Shivani in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, played by Erica Fernandes and Charvi Saraf. The connection between the two on-screen is liked, appreciated, and replicated by a lot of real-life sisters who consider them the ideal sister Jodi on television. The two share a good bond off-screen as well.

Guess what? This sister Jodi could have been together on screen a few years ago as well!

Yes, little do people know that Charvi could have played Erica’s sister in the latter’s debut show, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, and spilling the beans is Charvi herself as she narrates the incident.

“I got a call from the production house handling Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. The role offered was Erica’s sisters’. I went for the audition of that show and gradually cleared the look test as well. In fact, one of the photoshoots had Erica and me in the same frame. But unfortunately, I could not make it in the final shortlisting of that role”, she says.

“Then a few years later, I got a call and this time for Kasautii Zindagi Kay and much to my surprise the role was again as her aka Prerna's sister. Such is life, it's a big coincidence and maybe we were destined to play sisters. I do not think that Erica would remember that screen test for Kuch Rang though. I personally think that she's a great girl and an intelligent human being".

A happy coincidence, indeed.
