Devoleena Bhattacharjee To Play Grown-Up Bondita in 'Barrister Babu' Post Leap?

As per the new guidelines set by the government, no children will be allowed on the set for precautionary measures and hence the makers are forced to take an age leap. This will allow them to take the story forward and start shooting for it.

The situation related to the restart of shoots is now official where Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is indeed one of the first shows to be restarting shoot soon. There is another list of shows that will also begin shoot soon, and one of them is Colors' Barrister Babu.

The show was only launched back in February but was performing well on the rating charts and was one of the best-rated shows for the channel.

And as the plan for shoots begins soon, the makers of Barrister Babu have already begun their search for the main lead in terms of who will play the grown-up Bondita. As known, currently, the show revolves around Bondita (Aura Bhatnagar) who is an 8-year-old girl and is a curious little being with her own perspective of viewing the world.

The character Anirudh Roy Choudhary which is played by Pravisht Mishra marries Bondita to stop sati pratha. But now as per the new guidelines set by the government, no children will be allowed on the set for precautionary measures and hence the makers are forced to take an age leap. This will allow them to take the story forward and start shooting for it.

And owing to that, a recent report in SpotboyE suggests that actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been approached to play the female lead. Yes! That's right. On paper, it does seem like a match made in heaven where the show might be a great comeback for Bhattacharjee in the fiction space and her being a Bengali in the show set around a Bengali backdrop only makes things all the more positive.

It was also confirmed that nothing hasn't been confirmed as of yet.

Leap barrister babu show ok i think this is most imp replace All Child artist this time coz child save at home. Like Devoleena why not Tina coz both r bengoli n Want to see Nishant Malkani as Anirudha (Aj from Guddan Show) he stay in Kolkata 5 year so He can play a Bengali man very nice..He is a brilliant actor.

Then it's bye bye to the show. Pravisht is not going to change because if he is replaced then the whole young cast will have to be replaced and at a situation like this, I doubt if that will happen. And, Barrister Babu won't be the same then, this is not what we signed up for. Leap shouldn't happen in the near future, the show was written for an 8 year old who fights the aristocratic/orthodox society with the help of an amiable man who married her to save her. We can wait for some more months rather than compromising with this really bad decision.

Anirudh's character is very shrewd. So i feel Shakti Arora can play the role very well if considered. Also, Devoleena and Shakti's pair would be fresh to see onscreen. Thats absolutely my choice lets see whom makers choose.

Isnt Pravisht too young to get paired with Devo. I mean if Devo plays Bondita then their should be a new Anirudh. Nobody would like to see Devo and Pravisht pairing it will be nothing less than a brother-sister pair. I feel the makers should look for new male lead too.
