Devoleena Bhattacharjee rose to fame with her stint on the iconic show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya. Recently, the actress was seen in Bigg Boss 13, however, her stint on the show came to an abrupt end due to her back problems. And now, there have been reports about the actress being approached for season 2 of Saath Nibhana Saathiya as well. However, there is absolutely no update regarding the same.

Meanwhile, there has also been an ongoing debate about how television actors are treated and how the treatment meted out is different as opposed to film actors in the industry. Talking about it, the actress went on to speak about the process of auditions and look tests and revealed how they were looked down upon and how Bollywood needs to stop doing that.

She went on to say how they get to hear things like they don't want TV acting for this role, and how it was so demotivating right before facing the camera with the hope of cracking the part. She sais she needs to be explained the difference between the acting for two mediums and in fact, she also questioned how does a platform matter for someone who is an actor. While she did agree that they do go a little overboard on TV, she also added how it is what the demand is and that actors will deliver whatever is expected out of them.

She says, "You need to give me that opportunity. Judge me by my talent. Also, there are many film actors that people won't know about, but TV actors are known to them. It's high time Bollywood stops looking down upon TV actors."

Among other things, she also went on to highlight how a two-minute role on TV shows will not lead to people remembering you since they go on for longer, however, it isn't the same with films and a powerful two-minute role is capable of making one's career. she also cited the example of Siddhant Chaturvedi from Gully Boy to further elaborate on her point and added how she wants to do female-oriented roles.
