Desi Girls too hot for Punjab villagers?

It is heard that Imagine's Desi Girls are proving too modern for the liking of their adopted Punjab village families

Imagine's new weekend reality show Desi Girl is sure to lead to more allegations of TV spoiling the culture of India's rural life.

The concept sees eight sexy celebrity girls i.e. Sambhavna Seth, Kashmera Shah, Roshni Chopra, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun and Aushima Sawhney living with real families in a Punjab village as daughters for 7 long weeks.

The shooting for the same is underway and half the period has already been recorded. Desi Girl will go on air from 21st May at 9 pm.

A little birdie tells us that, "In a bid to stir up controversy, the channel/production house has asked the girls to behave and dress the way they would do in cites, a sure masala element, as villagers will not take kindly to girls wearing shorts and bikini tops. But it needs to be seen whether the villagers give these girls a clean chit or not, after considering the fact that the summer temperatures in Punjab can easily hover around 45 degrees Centigrade".

According to a source, "The dressing of certain girls did wrinkle the villagers' sensibilities". If this was not enough, a fly on the wall quipped, the matters can further hot up, if these free willed girls start to link up with the local mundas (boys), something which had not happened till now.

"Being a reality show, there will be eliminations as well, hence the resultant cat fights and rampant swearing (though beeped out) by the girls is again something which
traditional village folks will not be used to", states our source.

TRP ke naam pe kuch bhi karega, isn't it?

Why did Roshni want to do a show like this? I thought at first it was going be something nice, but it seems like this show is just using these girls for TRPs and these girls are fine with it.

Desi girls acting like this?? i don't think those of us that don't live in india even act like this. If this is just about them swearing and bashing, i doubt anyone is going to watch this.
