Deepika Padukone is the leading personality for global cinema and a strong advocate of mental health awareness. The actress has also received the World Economic Forum's prestigious 26th Annual Crystal Award for her extraordinary contribution towards the cause of mental health.
With the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput, once again there seems to be an uproar to create awareness about depression and one can combat this situation. Now, in a recent post Deepika talked about depression and urged people to not treat it the same as sadness.
Taking to Twitter handle, Deepika shared photos that read, “Repeat After Me. Depression is not the same as sadness.” Another photo that Deepika shared read, “Repeat After Me. Depression is not the same as feeling sad.”
Currently, the Chhapaak actress has been posting daily on social media to reduce the stigma around mental health and today, once again, Deepika has urged everyone to not think of depression in the same way of feeling sad.
She has been among the few stars in Bollywood who opened up about her struggle with mental health back in the days.
