Deepika Padukone's Instagram stories ignite nostalgia as 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' turns 10

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's blockbuster film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary since its release. The director took to social media to commemorate this special milestone to express his heartfelt sentiments towards the film. As "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" completes a decade since its release, it holds a special place in the hearts of both the cast and the fans.

Joining in the celebration, Deepika Padukone, who played the character of Naina in the film, also took to her social media accounts to mark the momentous occasion. She shared two Instagram stories with the caption, "A piece of my heart and soul..." indicating her deep connection and fondness for the film.

The cast members and even actor Evelyn Sharma and Dharma Movies CEO Apoorva Mehta also expressed their nostalgia on this special day.

Released in 2013, "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" quickly became a favourite among the youth. The story revolves around the lives of Naina (Deepika Padukone) and Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor), who initially had a love-hate relationship but ultimately found their way to each other. The film also featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles, adding depth to the narrative. 

With its perfect blend of friendship, love, drama, laughter, and relationships, the movie struck a chord with the audience, becoming a complete entertainment package. The film also starred Madhuri Dixit, Evelyn Sharma and Tanvi Azmi in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, speaking on Deepika's work front, the actress is currently shooting for Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. The film is slated to release on January 25, 2024, after the date was pushed back several times. Another film that she is on board for is Project K with Prabhas. The actress has also been roped in for the Hindi adaptation of Anne Hathaway starrer classic film The Intern.
