Earlier this month, Deepika Padukone’s father and legendary Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone was hospitalised after he tested positive for COVID-19.
After developing symptoms and having a fever for a week, Prakash Padukone was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru. He has recovered well and has been discharged from the hospital.
Prakash Padukone was discharged on Saturday and his friend and the director of his academy U Vimal Kumar confirmed the same to an entertainment portal:
"He was out on Saturday. He is at home and doing well. His family is all well too.”
Besides the badminton legend, actress Deepika Padukone along with mother Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha Padukone had contracted the virus and tested Covid Positive. All of them were under home quarantine as they battled the virus. However, Deepika did not put out any official statement regarding the same.
Earlier, Vimal Kumar, a close friend of the legendary shuttler had told PTI:
“Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be seen alongside husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘83. She also has the Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’, Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan in her pipeline.
