Deepika Padukone talks about Stepping back to South films: Language has never been a barrier!

Deepika Padukone has repeatedly proved her excellence with phenomenal performance. With back to back achievements adding on to her list of accolades and a movie announcement, Deepika stunned the fans with her recent release - Chhapaak. 

Deepika is one of the most popular faces in Bollywood and the actress has garnered attention all over the globe after she was seen starring alongside Vin Diesel in XXX: Return of Xander Cage. 

During a recent interaction with IANS, the 34-year-old actress was asked if she would still go back to doing South films if she gets an opportunity. Deepika said: “Of course. Language has never been a barrier. I think at the end of the day, what I look for as an actor is exciting content. In fact, there are a lot of south (film directors and writers who approached me. Eventually, I think it’s about finding the right content.”

On the work front, Deepika is working on her upcoming projects which include Kabir Khan’s ’83 and she will be seen starring with hubby Ranveer Singh.

Apart from that, Deepika was in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum 2020 where the actress was honored with the Annual Crystal Award for her contribution towards mental health awareness.
