Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone broke the stereotypes by proving the statement ‘exes cannot be friends’. The former couple, who broke up back in 2008, is close and share a mutual respect for each other they are really adored by their fans for their chemistry.  

Recently, Deepika Padukone visited New York and spent some quality time with Ranbir’s parents Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. Neetu took to her Instagram handle and shared a photo, saying, “Such a fun evening with adorable @deepikapadukone .. gave lot of love n warmth”. To which Deepika commented, “Thank You both for such a fun, memorable evening! To good health, happiness, peace of mind and many many more laughs...” 

Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni gifted Deepika Padukone a stunning bracelet. Deepika took to Instagram to share a gift that she received. She captioned it, "With blessings and good wishes..."

Back in the day, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were one of the hottest couple in Bollywood. Much to the disappointment of their fans, they parted ways on less-than-cordial terms. 

However, they have moved on in life and are now close friends. Deepika has married Ranveer Singh, and Ranbir has been dating Alia Bhatt for a while. Deepika also shares a warm bond with Ranbir's parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor has been in New York for several months, as he was battling cancer.

Talking about his year-long battle with cancer, Rishi Kapoor told Deccan Chronicle, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free."

"Being in remission is a big thing and it's all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all. Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drinks are concerned," added the actor.
