The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted normal everyday life. Right from nationwide lockdown to the rapidly increasing number of cases, the situation seems to be going out of hand with each passing day. Various sectors of business, events, entertainment are to be highly affected by this novel virus, and in turn, lead to a tremendous financial crisis.

Amidst the ongoing COVID-19, Bollywood celebrities are stepping forward to create awareness and help daily wage workers in every possible way. Recently, singer Dhvani Bhanushali donated Rs 50,000 to the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, for daily wage workers whose incomes have stopped due to the pandemic.

Now, the Tashkent Files director Vivek Agnihotri has also come to the rescue of the daily wage workers who are in need of financial aid. The filmmaker has taken up painting to raise money for such workers and it is only heartwarming to see the B Townies help the needy in situations like this.

Agnihotri has also tied up with the federations for junior actors, the art department, stuntmen, and other technicians and is trying to raise funds for them too through his contact with NGOs.

“There are a lot of people in the industry whose livelihood has been affected. I will sell these paintings for them. I can only help in my limited way, but hopefully, it will encourage others to come forward,” he shares.

As of now, the filmmaker has completed two paintings and the third is a work-in-progress. “It takes two days to complete a painting. I don’t know how long this lock-down will continue, so it’s best to keep working on my art. It’s important to be positive and put creativity to good use,” he shares.
