Congratulations!! Aapke Aa Jane Se star Ashish Dixit and Shweta Kanoje get Hitched

Weddings are on a deluge in Bollywood and in our telly town since the beginning of this year. Stars are getting hitched and we are busy sending best wishes to one and all. This time the happy news comes from  ‘Aap Ke Aa Jane Se’ star Ashish Dixit and Shweta Kanoje. Shweta has been a part of many popular shows like Jodha Akbar, Qubool Hai. 

The wedding happened in Nagpur on 28th of May and the two longtime lovers were finally pronounced man and wife. Ashish and Shweta got engaged in November last year and after almost six months they couple had a beautiful traditional wedding ceremony. The groom entered with the baarat as performers danced to Albela Sajan Aayo re in the back drop. The bride walked in under the phoolon ki chadar and as everyone got awestruck looking at the grand entry of the bride and the groom, the two proceeded for Mangalashtak. 

The couple was twinning in bright red. While the groom looked dapper in a red sherwani, the bride was beaming in a red lehenga. Their pictures look straight out of a dreamy TV show. Have a look:

The couple fell in love two years ago and in an interview Shweta opined that she and Ashish were destined to be together. In an interview with BT, Shweta said,"Even though Ashish did his engineering from my hometown Nagpur, we never met at that time. In fact, despite working in the television industry, we never bumped into each other at any event or parties until we were offered a movie together.”

Ashish also said,"The first time I saw Shweta, I remember she was wearing a beautiful dress and I found her really cute. It was love at first sight. Slowly, we got to know each other and discovered that we had several things in common. For instance, we both are absolute cleanliness freaks. We are happy about the fact that we chose to marry on the same day (May 28) Shweta’s parents got married in 1991, and it also happens to be my father’s birthday.”

A few of the couple's industry friends attended their wedding. Ashish and Shweta will soon host a reception in Mumbai for their friends from the industry.
