Confirmed! One of Sooryavanshi & ’83 will release during Holi

The release of two highly anticipated films of 2020: Kabir Khan's '83 and Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi was indefinitely postponed in the wake of the lockdown due to Coronavirus.

Fans are excited to watch these two big banner films on the silver screen, however, had to wait for a long time for the revised release dates. And finally, the wait is over.

It is now confirmed that one out of Sooryavanshi & ’83 will release in March, during Holi! Don’t believe us? Hear it from the horses mouth, Shibasish Sarkar, producer of Sooryavanshi and ’83, CEO of Reliance Entertainment Group, who is now keen on releasing one of the films in March after the makers of ‘Master’ decided to release their film in cinema halls.

Master starring Thalapathy Vijay, Malavika Mohanan and Vijay Sethupati in the lead was originally planned to be released in cinema halls in April 2020 but was postponed due to the lockdown and now is finally all set to hit the theatres on January 13, 2021. 

Reacting to the same, Shibasish told Mid Day: “We are waiting for the January 13 release. There are four to five big releases in Tamil and Telugu cinema. There is a huge amount of confidence in the makers and the audience.”

He also confirmed that one of Sooryavanshi or ’83 will be released during Holi. “The situation in the country is improving as is the economy, so the mood is largely positive. A section of people headed to theatres to watch Tenet and Wonder Woman 1984. That was an encouraging sign. So, now, we are looking at bringing one of the films (Sooryavanshi or ’83) in the third week of March, during Holi. We have yet to decide on the film though.”
