Confirmed! Kareena Kapoor Khan is the leading lady in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha

On his birthday this year, Aamir Khan had announced his next film to be the official adaptation of the Tom Hanks starrer Hollywood hit film Forrest Gump. Titled as Laal Singh Chaddha, the film will be directed by Advait Chandan and stars Aamir Khan in the lead role. And now, the film has finally found its leading lady in Kareena Kapoor Khan.

As per a report in Bombay Times, the actress has confirmed the same. “For now it is sure that Kareena will star opposite Aamir Khan in this film, she will be making an official announcement too,” said a source close to the development. The two actors have previously worked together in films like 3 Idiots and Talaash and it’s going to be exciting for their fans to see their amazing chemistry on screen, again! 

The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions in association with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Viacom18 Studios also took to their twitter to confirm Bebo’s collaboration with the film. 

At the time of making the announcement on his birthday about the film, the actor had said he would be losing around 20 kgs for his role in Laal Singh Chaddha. He also shared that he would be sporting a turban for some segments of the movie. Reports also suggest that Gully Boy actor Vivek Garg also has bagged a role in Aamir’s Lal Singh Chaddha.

Kareena recently flew to Mumbai to shoot for her first TV project, a dance reality show called Dance India Dance. She then headed back to London, where she will be shooting for her next film, Angrezi Medium, opposite Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan.
