Christmas special: TV celebs share their Christmas plans!

For some people, the festival of Christmas is about cakes and goodies, while for a few others, it's about spreading love and cheer among the less fortunate people and loved ones.

Tv celebs like Sharad Kelkar, Aditi Sharma, Karan Kundra, Saumya Tandon, Ratan Rajput, Dalljiet Kaur, Rohit Khuranna and Surbhi Jyoti share their plans for Christmas. Have a look:

Sharad Kelkar: My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is to love others. I don't understand why we wait for Christmas to do that. Every Christmas, I buy cakes for the less fortunate and the smile on their faces is the ultimate gift for me.

Aditi Sharma: Every year on Christmas, me and my friends have a get together in the house wearing Santa caps and baking cakes together. We go to the Mount Mary Church in Bandra (Mumbai). I wish to plan something for the street children this Christmas as it is a festival for children and there are some not very fortunate kids, who too deserve to enjoy this festival just like others.

Saumya Tandon: Christmas for me is buying gifts for my niece and nephew, writing letters to them from Santa and getting their Christmas cake. The smile on their faces thinking it is from Santa, melts my heart.

Karan Kundra: The best thing I love about Christmas is that people are more kind and open-hearted. We give and receive gifts which is a reminder that humanity still exists. Every Christmas, I pray to god for the well being and happiness of those who do not have anybody to pray for them.

Rohit Khuranna: Since I was good at art and craft, I was given the responsibility to decorate the class during Christmas. It used to be a fun affair to decorate the Christmas tree and put the cherry lights. This year on Christmas, I will be spending time with my close ones, dining out with them and spending some quality time.

Avinash Sachdev: As a child, Christmas was all about the Christmas tree, Santa and most importantly gifts and friends. Now Christmas has become more about wining and dining in style. Christmas comes at a time when there's a lovely nip in the air and I enjoy it a lot. I wish all my fans Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Surbhi Joyti: I used to wait for Christmas special shows on cartoon channels that would exclusively air during this time of the year. It used to be fun watching the shows as they had positive messages without being preachy or boring. This year, I don't have any plans for Christmas because I will be shooting the entire day. Will just try and go for dinner in the night with my loved ones.

Mahima Makwana: Christmas for me is about thanking the lord for what he has given me. It is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus and the happiness he brings into our lives. On this festival of joy and prosperity, I pray for all my fans that may god give us the strength to be stronger.

Ratan Rajput: Christmas is all about the beginning of a new year for me. All the kids in my house are so excited for Christmas and I enjoy seeing them happy.

Mita Vasisht: As a school child, the most amazing memory of Christmas was discovering something new about Christianity each year as our teachers would tell us stories from the Bible. No special plans for Christmas this year. The last I went to a midnight mass was years ago.

Shikha Singh: As I was in a convent school, Christmas was always special for me. I want to be in Europe or US for Christmas, sometime soon. It's so beautiful there around this time of the year.

Dalljiet Kaur: My father was in the army, so Christmas parties used to be grand and I remember chasing Santa in the party and getting loads of gifts to take back home. My son and I have lots of plans for Christmas. I will take him to one of the parties where he will meet Santa and I shall be his secret Santa who will shower him with gifts.

Jasmin Bhasin: I love the whole Christmas fervour that surrounds us around this time of the year. This year, I am busy with shoots and haven't been able to make any special plans.
