Children's Day is celebrated on November 14, as a mark of tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru - the country's first Prime Minister. As everyone is celebrating Children's Day today, actress Rutuja Sawant shared some fondest memories of her childhood.

Actress Rutuja Sawant is a popular name in the entertainment industry. The actress is currently ruling people's hearts with her magnificent performance in the colors supernatural show 'Pishachini'. Rutuja essays the role of 'Shikha' in the show and her presence in the show brings a lot of twists and turns.

Talking about her childhood memories, Rutuja says,"I remember as a kid, I was fond of going on picnics with my friends. My mother would cook amazing food for my lunch box and me and my friends used to eat together. The best part is, we used to have fun without phones as we were not allowed to take mobiles on a school trip. The personal interactions were truly amazing. The time that you spend with your friends in school is the best time. I still see old photos and remember my trips. They were amazing."

Rutuja lastly adds, "I miss the child inside me sometimes as I started working at a very early age. I miss not feeling burdened by being responsible for anything. I feel that childhood is the best part of our lives."

Meanwhile, on the workfront, Rutuja is well known for her acting chops in the Star Plus show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali and colors show Choti Sarrdaarni.
