New Delhi, July 15 (IANS) After eleven adventure-packed days in the dangerous terrains of Himalayas, Arunesh Moudgil from Chandigarh has been declared the winner of Kingfisher Blue Mile - Himalayan Expedition 2011.

The expedition was an opportunity for outdoor sport enthusiasts to unleash the 'adventurer' in them and explore the thrills of mountain biking and adventure sports like deep sea diving, rock climbing and river-rafting.

'I was extremely excited to win the contest and be a part of the expedition. I had conquered most of Himachal and Rajasthan on my bike but this 11-day journey has been a life changing experience for me... it has been a journey of a lifetime,' said 21-year-old Moudgil, a web designer

Twelve participants embarked on the adventurous journey July 5 from Leh covering over 1,600 km before ending in Delhi.

'The success of the expedition is just the beginning of many more adventures we seek to bring in future. Through the Kingfisher Blue Mile, we want to create a community of like-minded people, young at heart, seeking thrill from whatever they do in life,' said Samar Singh Shekhawat, senior vice president, UB Group -- owners of Kingfisher Airlines.
