Celebs in Green

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Holi and a month that should be full of all things vibrant, we bring to you celebs that were spotted enviably green in the recent past.

With the dawn of the Spring season, it is time to embrace all things colorful and the Fashion Police thinks no different. As we reminisce the celebration of the festival of colors, stars continue to shed the monotone of neutrals and dare to take color head on. So in honor of St. Patrick's Day, Holi and a month that should be full of all things vibrant, we bring to you celebs that were spotted enviably green in the recent past.

Kajol Devgn

Kajol Devgn was seen at the Lakme Fashion Week last week wearing a green silk Anushka Khanna creation. The dress featured an asymmetric hemline and embroidery on the pockets. While the moss green shade flattered her and was a nice contrast to her gorgeous dark hair, there are just too many things wrong about this outfit. To start off, the dress looked sloppy and wrinkly, but that it nothing a bit of steaming couldn't have fixed. The worst of its problem was that the dress, which fell mid-thigh, is a bit too short on Kajol. It looked more like a shirt and made her look awkward. We couldn't help but wonder if she forgot her pants at home.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra wore an emerald green lace dress from The Source while joining Nita Ambani at a health initiative event last November. The dress is a thing of beauty and hugged Chopra's figure in all the right places accentuating her enviable figure. Priyanka took her green outfit a step further with an impressive green cocktail ring from Viange. Thick ankle strap shoes and ministerial make-up, green sure does look good on this former beauty queen.

Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra, who has taken the initiative to work on her fashion choices as of late, was seen in a Halston Heritage dress while promoting her movie Hasee Toh Phasee on the TV show Dance India Dance this past January. The dress, which featured micro-pleated fabric and horizontal stitching at the bodice, cinched at the waist accentuating Chopra's small waist. However, the top half of the dress hung loosely making her look somewhat unnaturally wide. The horizontal stitching added nothing to the dress but rather made the outfit look tight and awkward from the sides. It's a shame because the color looks gorgeous on her. Nonetheless, we commend her for trying something new.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone proved that she is not one to shy away from bold colors as she stepped out in a green silk Rachel Roy jumpsuit while promoting her blockbuster movie Chennai Express in August 2013. The wide-legged jumpsuit featured bloused sleeves and a rippling tie waist. The head to toe green outfit could have easily overwhelmed the talented actress but Padukone, with the help of her tall slender body, carried it off with confidence. Minimal accessories were just enough to balance out the bold outfit.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif embraced green in a long sleeved Roberto Cavalli gown at the 2014 Umang Police Show. While the bottle green shade is lovely in itself, the color didn't complement Kat one bit and made her look rather ghostly pale. Not only that, the fabric of the gown was too clingy and hugged her body in unflattering ways. If a slim silhouette like Kat's can't pull off this gown, it makes us wonder who can do it this gown justice.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan donned an emerald green anarkali churidar by Nupur Kanoi while attending an inauguration event last year. The ensemble featured bronze embellishment with floral detailing on the high neck kurta collar, bottom flares of the skirt and dupatta. The green hue treated Aishwayra well; the former beauty queen looked stunning in the outfit. She should definitely opt for more green in the future.

Shades of green are a refreshing addition to any wardrobe and while it may look good on everyone, it is important to select the right shades. Stepping out in green takes confidence and we love it when B-town beauties make that daring move, but we can't say everyone on the list looked their best. Which of these B-town divas rocked the hue and made you green with envy, and which should permanently ditch the color? Let us know in the comments section below.
