Priyanka hails from a small town, Bareilly, and like many small town middle class kids, she too was a smitten fan of Bollywood and all its glam-sham!


What many like her may only dream of, is the kind of success that she has acquired for herself today!


Priyanka started her career as a model and made her first acting debut in a Tamil film Thamizan. Interestingly, she has also lent her voice to a song in the same film.


Later, she moved on to mainstream Hindi cinema with her debut in Bollywood movie, The Hero. Her consequent role in Andaaz won her many accolades and also the Best Debut award. What won her the first critical acclaim however, was playing the scintillating vamp in Aitraaz for which she went on to win her first, and rather early Filmfare Award (in a negative role), making her the second female artist to win in this general category till date!


Her graph of success curved exponentially upwards, with blockbusters like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Krrish, Don - The Chase Begins Again, Fashion and Dostana. She bagged the coveted National Award for her praiseworthy performance in 2008's Bhandarkar release, Fashion.
