Brad Pitt claimed his marriage to Jennifer Aniston had become a sham!

In the wake of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s break-up, the rumors have started making the rounds about his link-up with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. While the fans can't get over Brad-Angie’s fallout, some have already been wanting to see Brad-Jen rekindle their love affair. However, Brad has claimed that he became 'dull' during married life with Jennifer Aniston and that he wasn't living an 'interesting life'.

Thanks to Brad and Jennifer’s chemistry the couple dominated the headlines for years. The young love made their first formal appearance as a couple on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in 1999. Taking their relationship ahead the two got hitched on July 29, 2000. Although, the couple started facing issues in their marriage and it seemed to fall apart as Angelina stepped into Brad’s life as the two started shooting for Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Soon, the power couple broke their ties in 2005 and the epic romance came to an end.  

It wasn’t long enough when the world encountered Angie and Brad’s love.

Speaking to Parade, Brad cited that it was due to 'not living an interesting life' had led him to find comfort in the arms of Angelina. Brad said, "It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself." Further, he went on to say his marriage to Aniston had become a 'sham' and that he wanted more than what she could offer. Brad continued, "I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t."

In a pointed dig at the reason why he didn't have children with Aniston, Brad said, "One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom." The comment led to Brad having to issue a statement to clarify what he meant, after a huge backlash from Jennifer's fans. Brad said in the statement, "It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly.”

Brad eventually clarified his comments about the state of his marriage to Jennifer and looked to turn around his comments as a description of his own behavior with Jen. He said, “The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself and that I am responsible for."

Reports in the US media have suggested that Brad and Jen have been building bridges and their friendship has been growing again in the wake of Brad's divorce from Angelina.
