Boney Kapoor becomes a prey to cyber fraud; suffers a loss of 3.82 Lakh by credit card misuse

In the past few months, we have been listening to quite a few stories when celebrities have faced some kind of loss due to robberies or house thefts. Earlier it was Sonam Kapoor's husband, Anand Ahuja, and then Neha Kakkar and her husband. Now another celebrity has been prey to a form of cyber fraud and has suffered a significant loss. 

As per the latest media reports, producer Boney Kapoor's credit card was recently used in a cyber fraud scheme, resulting in a R.s 3.82 lakh loss. According to reports, a complaint has been made in the matter at Mumbai's Amboli police station under the provisions of the IPC and the Information Technology Act, and an investigation is currently proceeding.

According to claims in the reports, the defendant used the credit card to make five fraudulent purchases. The credit card fraud was apparently discovered after Boney's money was removed from his bank account, prompting him to inquire with the bank. He went on to make a police report after that. Boney claimed in his complaint that he had not received any phone calls relating his credit card information, nor had anyone asked for his credit card. According to reports, the authorities believe someone accessed the card's details when Boney was using it. According to the claims, money from Kapoor's account was transferred to the Gurugram-based firm's account.

On the professional front, Boney Kapoor has a slew of projects lined for his production venture. Maidaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film starring Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim during the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962).
