Bobby Deol on getting nominations in award shows & why is it important

It is no secret anymore that actor Bobby Deol is definitely having the time of his life professionally, where his 2.0 innings in the entertainment industry is turning out to be a riveting one. As his digital debut in the form of Ashram continues to be create ripples and a third season is set to air soon, Deol managed to earn massive accolades and love for his roles in films like Class of 83 and Love Hostel.

While he gets all this love through social media, Deol thinks that the other way to gauge this love and appreciation is through awards and nominations. Talking about it he said that his characters online have won him nominations at award shows and he feels it is an achievement. He believes that with recognition like this, one gets to know that the public is liking what you bring to the table.

Back in 1996 he won the Filmfare award for making his debut with Barsaat. Later in 2003, he got nominated for his performance in Humraaz in the Filmfare Award’s Best Actor category. After that, last year, he won two nominations for his roles in Filmfare OTT awards, one for a digital film and the other for Aashram.

The actor signs off saying, “I have reached a stage in my life where I have done all of that in my past. I have seen success and failure with the films that I have been a part of. Somewhere I always wanted to be recognized for my work and I got the recognition through my web content in the recent times. Times certainly changed for me after I took a plunge in the digital medium.”
