BJP MLA Files Complaint Against Anushka Sharma, says Paatal Lok Content is Anti-National

Anushka Sharma’s Paatal Lok has yet again landed into legal trouble. BJP MLA, Nandkishore Gurjar, has filed a complaint against Anushka, who is the producer of the Amazon series for using his picture without his permission. 

Reportedly, the makers morphed Gurjar’s picture in a mock newspaper image. The original picture is from a 2018  newspaper clip that originally has Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in 2018, with Gurjar alongside. 

A case has been filed against Anushka under the National Security Act for instigating communal disharmony. Nandkishore Gurjar also accuses the makers of maligning Bharatiya Janta Party's image and states that the show tried to portray a terrorism-free image of Pakistan. He also alleged that the show's content is 'anti-national.' 

Earlier, Anushka was mired in legal trouble after a member of the Lawyers Guild sent her a legal notice over a perceived casteist slur in the show. Viren Sri Gurung, a member of the Lawyers Guild has sent a legal notice to Anushka for a perceived casteist slur on the show and said that the word is insulting towards the Nepali community.

The actress is yet to respond to the complaints filed against her.

Meanwhile, Paatal Lok starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Banerjee, Swastika Mukherjee in lead roles received good reviews from critics and the audience.
