Bigg Boss 14: Nishant Malkani says 'If I find a girl inside the house, I will be happy to follow up after the show'

Nishant Malkani, who has been seen in multiple avatars on-screen is now a part of India-s biggest reality show, Bigg Boss 14. Ever since the actor quit Guddan: Tumse Na Ho Payega, there have been reports that it was for the show, however, there is more to it and in fact, he feels this was supposed to happen to him. 

While he introduced himself as a powerful contestant and spoke about all things he can tolerate and things he cannot in his promo video, there is much more that he has to say. Read exceprts from the interview here...

Is this the first time you have been offered the show? Why now?

I have been offered the show on multiple occasions but because of other commitments, I could never think about doing it. However, this time, the timing was such that the journey of Guddan was about to end for me and I got this opportunity. Quit..journeyI did not quit the show, we did a lot of good work in 2 years and we delivered good work and also great TRPs but now, they ran out of fresh ideas so they decided to run a fresh story and how will they do that, with a leap and I wasn't fitting there so that was God's way of freeing me from one beautiful project and putting me into another which he thinks is better for me now.

What is the one thing you are looking forward to?

I want to meet the contestants first because I feel whenever I meet someone, I have this energy, a vibe, and it can be anybody and I have that kind of intuition and with that impression, I want to understand what kind of energy is it and then my body and brain know how to deal with it.

Have you followed the previous season, who has been your favourite?

I have seen in bits and pieces but I saw the 13th one a lot because my friend Daljiet was there. I really liked Asim, why, because he came out of nowhere and he was an underdog and he played the game with honesty and it was visible in everything, including his tasks, his relationships, he did not leave the side of his friend even in the worst of situation, and when though that same friend, Sidharth Shukla is going in the wrong direction, he did have the guts to stand up to him and I think that kind of strength only comes from true character. 

People say tat the show can make or break a image, what do you think about it?

Whatever happens, however, happens, people will be able to understand what is it. They've understood me through my characters all this while and this will be the first time when Nishant Singh Malkani will be actually standing as himself and I am very comfortable in letting the country decide whether they love me or nor and when they meet me as me, they will love me more.

What is your relationship status and are you open to finding love inside the house?

Single. Whenever someone asks me about it, I answer very openly that yes I am looking for a good companion because I am at that stage in my life where I can take the next step and may be, have my own beautiful family. If I find that girl inside the house, and I get to know her in the kind of a live-in situation where everyone is staying together, I'll be very happy to follow it up even after the show.

What is your biggest weakness?

I am a very emotional person, I'm overly emotional and I think the audiences will love to see my real emotions coming out but at the same time, the people that I am in the house with, they might try to take advantage of that, so I'll have to very careful with that. I trust people easily and I'm going to stop doing that.

Trolling is likely to happen, even while you are inside and also once you are outisde. Are you prepared?

I know that even if 100 people will abuse me, 1 crore will abuse them, and I have that much trust in my audience that they love me that much. I have no tension on that front. I was initially anxious because it is unknown territory but that has now turned to excitement and I can't wait.
