Bhumi Pednekar talks about her Complexions; Reveals her family helped getting over her insecurities!

Bhumi Pednekar is soaring great heights with her performances and its evident she always learns from her characters. Recently she was seen talking about her personal complexions and insecurities...

Bhumi Pednekar

In a career span of eight years, Bhumi has gradually achieved great heights. The Sonchiriya actress has carved a niche for herself with every brand new character she performs. She has diversified herself with every new release and the actress also tends to learn a lot from her films. Unlike everyone Bhumi claims even though she has her own complexes that resonate in her life.

I am fortunate to be born in a family where while we were growing up most of our complexes were eradicated that's why I can do the roles I do. be it playing an overweight girl or playing a 70-year-old do most of the roles I can or what I'm doing in Bala you know in school you are teased about the weirdest thing you tease other students it's part and parcel of life. But, every time we came back home we were told no you guys are beautiful beauty is in mind it is not the way you look, I think that's a mantra I'll always follow and there are days when I feel a little bloated but you overcome that because eventually even if I'm big shit I'm human.

- Bhumi Pednekar

With no filmy surname backing her name, Bhumi has made it to the big screen with her own talent and determination. She has never considered it as an excuse to reflect personal conflicts to that of her performance.

She further talked about complexions her character faces in Bala; she said: “I realized from my first film that the kind of cinema I really like being a part of has to be entertaining. It has to be fun, quirky, it really needs to take my audience through a journey full of emotions but at the same time it needs to leave them with a thought and this is the precise reason why I selected Bala. My character deals with the colour bias that exists in our country.”

On the work front, Bhumi will be seen in Pati Pani Aur Vo. The film is helmed by Mudassar Aziz also stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday which will hit the theatres on December 6, 2019.
