Bharti Singh Reminisces Her Initial Struggling Days; Says Her Childhood Was Spent In Poverty

Ace Comedian Bharti Singh who is currently seen In The Kapil Sharma Show needs no introduction. The comedian-actress recently married her long-term boyfriend Haarsh Limbachiyaa. The duo also came up with a new show titled, Hum Tum Aur Quarantine amid lockdown to entertain the viewers.

It is said that ‘Nothing comes easy’ and who knows it better than Bharti Singh who has struggled a lot in her initial days. Bharti got into a conversation with a leading newspaper where she revealed details from her childhood and told about her struggling days. 

Not many people know that Bharti Singh comes from a middle-class family and has three brothers and sisters. Her mother, Kamla Singh, who got married at the age of 17, was a mother of three children at the age of 23. Before Bharti became a star, her mother was used to work at a factory. Recollecting some dreadful childhood memories, the ace comedian said that the sound of those machines still haunts her. She had once revealed that her mother used to work in a factory and used to complete the pending work at home. Bharti revealed she has grown up listening to the sounds of a sewing machine all day and it still haunts her.

Earlier, speaking about her struggles she said, “I lost my father at the age of 2; I don’t have any memories with him. My mother did not remarry; in fact, she decided to struggle for us. Most of my childhood was spent in poverty where my mother and elder siblings spent their days and night to provide safe shelter and enough food on the table. In fact, we have slept with stomach half-empty too.”

She had also opened up how she decided to get into comedy and acting. She had said, “I selected the acting line as I was short of money. My family was facing a lot of monetary problems in the house. So, when I left Amritsar to make my career in Mumbai, my relatives doubted my decision. When they saw me doing comedy on the stage; they would make fun of it. Guess what; the same people want me to guide their children in making a career in Mumbai (smiles).

Looks like life was not a cakewalk for Bharti Singh the but the comedian did not lose hope. Bharti has become a household name now owing to her dedication and hard work.
