November 14th is celebrated as Children's Day every year and while it is meant to increase awaress about children's right and education, it is also celebrated as a tribute to the birthday of India's First Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. India Forums spoke to Smita Bansal, who while going down the memory lane, recollected some of her most cherished memories.

Currently seen in Zee TV show Bhagya Lakshmi, Smita opened up about her thoughts on Children’s Day and how she plans to spend it this year. She tells us, "We used to have a lot of fun on Children's Day when I was a kid. One of the fondest memories I have of the day is that our teachers used to perform skits for us in school and I must say they put in a lot of effort and dearly appreciated it. I actually miss those days as we used to have a great time in school, we were given chocolates and gifts, and we also had a half-day at school. It was all fun. I used to very excited for this day and I used to always look forward to it. I never missed going to school on Children's Day too and I wish there was some way I could relive those days.''

Meanwhile, Bansal has been seen in a variety of other shows, including the likes of Balika Vadhu, Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka, Sarhadein, among others.

India Forums wishes a happy children's day to the child inside each of us!
