2017 was one of those years where the audiences got exactly what they wanted in terms of on-screen presence. Every year becomes new ground for viewers to hope for their favourite stars to hit the screen again and come back from their artistic slumber. There will always be characters you bitterly miss on-screen and sometimes, they make a comeback!

This year had so many good comebacks, we just couldn't pick a number lesser than 10. Scroll through to find out which actors made their way back to the TV screens with a bang-

Barun Sobti, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

This one was inevitably the most hyped comeback of 2017. The cult series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? starring Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani was one that nobody wanted to let go off. When fans found that the show is getting a third installment, it was difficult to contain the excitement. Barun Sobti, who was maintaining a low profile (fans barely saw much of him apart from the web series, Tanhaiyan) made a revamped comeback and sent the fans drooling. It was totally worth the wait!

Pooja Sharma, Mahakali: Anth Hi Aarambh Hai

Pooja Sharma is quite the ruler in the Mythological/ Epic genre. She was last seen in Mahabharat after which fans continued to keep her popularity alive. They finally had their wishes come true when she returned with Mahakali: Anth Hi Aarambh Hai. This one also set the stage for a grand scale production and Colors became a favourite among the fans of Pooja Sharma who didn't disappoint with her flawless performance.

Disha Parmar and Ridhi Dogra Vashisth , Woh Apna Sa

The leading ladies of Woh Apna Sa came back from a long break and boy, was it an iconic return. Disha Parmar left an unforgettable mark on the audience with her performance in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. And, the audience has been waiting to see her again ever since. Ridhi Dogra Vashisth's last lead role was on Savitri, the show that made her a household name. After that, she made a stellar comeback with Zee TV's Woh Apna Sa and let's just say she ran the show the way viewers expected her to.

Kritika Kamra, Prem Ya Paheli: Chandrakanta

Kritika Kamra was a hot favourite among the youth. She played quite a daring role in Reporters. This year, her return to TV with Prem Ya Paheli? : Chandrakanta was most anticipated and even more so after the promos released. Her get-up, role and the production of the show were hyped and the glamorous actress didn't disappoint.

Rati Pandey, Porus

Rati Pandey garnered a huge fan-following post her stint with Miley Jab Hum Tum and Hitler Didi. Her love for acting and portrayal of Nupur made her fandom large and continued to strengthen to a point that they couldn't hold their patience and then came along Porus. The grand scale production was the perfect show for Rati Pandey to come back with and we can still hear a thousand fans sigh in delight.

Hussain Kuwajerwala, Sajan Re Phir Jhoot Mat Bolo

Hiten Kuwajerwala made his name on TV with multiple roles in popular TV shows, especially his portrayal of Sumit on Kumkum. He did a bunch of reality shows and hosted a few from then on, but his full-fledged lead role came after a long gap of eight years. He came back with Sajan Re PHir Jhooth Mat Bolo in a refreshing avatar and his fans followed.

Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim, Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai

This pair made their comeback at just the right time with Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai and it was a big return indeed. Surbhi Jyoti gained loyal fans with Qubool Hai (she did have a cameo in Ishqbaaaz) and Shoaib Ibrahim with Sasural Simar Ka. The two actors were powerhouses in themselves and together they sizzled on screen making their comeback perfect.

Siddharth Shukla, Dil Se Dil Tak

This is another face that never really left the screen. He was in many reality shows but what he truly was remembered for was his role in Ballika Vadhu. The highly versatile actor returned quite a while later with Dil Se Dil Tak as the adorable Parth. Parth made for an amazing lead character and his shine didn't diminish between protagonists Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin. We loved this comeback!

Mohit Sehgal, Love Ka Hai Intezaar

We are sure a lot of viewers pined after Mohit Sehgal's stint with Sarojni getting over. We weren't sure when we would see the handsome actor on TV again. Just when we lost hope we saw him on Nach Baliye 8 and then in a full-fledged role in Love Ka Hai Intezaar. While the hype for this one fizzled out pretty quickly, it was quite something to watch fans flock towards the show to see his comeback.

Shrenu Parikh, Ishqbaaaz

Shrenu Parikh was a major part of the cult series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.. Ek Baar Phir and has had our attention since then on. She was M.I.A for a very long time before coming back with a bang on Ishqbaaaz. The unconventional character of Gauri couldn't have gotten a more perfect actress. Her comeback grabbed eyeballs and TV got its quirky actress back.
