#BestOf2017: Grand On-Screen Weddings Of This Year!

Our television shows are known for incorporating more than necessary' and really grand settings. But if there is one thing that the makers love to create on-screen are wedding sequences which gather amazing buzz and appreciation from the audience. And what can we say, we also don't mind watching some drama and entertainment.

In our BestOf2017 features marathon, we bring to you a list of the larger than life five wedding sequences of the year.

Ishqbaaaz

Producer Gul Khan who is known for her larger than life show sequences, left no stone unturned right from pre-wedding rituals to the forced wedding of her Ishqbaaaz leads Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika (Surbhi Chandna). The grand wedding track that lasted quite a while, actually was supposed to be between Shivaay and his girlfriend Tia (Navina Bole), but with Tia running away, Shivaay forced Anika to sit with him in the mandap to save his family respect and eventually, they tied the knot. While Ishqbaaaz has already created a niche for itself with their costumes, the makers took it up a notch higher with this wedding sequence.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

While wedding sequences in Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are always splendid, the wedding of Kartik and Naira this year, put the show, the makers and the entire team on a different level altogether. The wedding sequence was shot in Bikaner and viewers have already witnessed the grandeur of the show. Not to mention, there was much needed drama in the wedding with Kartik (Mohsin Khan) getting to know that his cousin Mansi was the one who killed his to-be-bride Naira's (Shivangi Joshi) mother Akshara (Hina Khan). Post the wedding, the makers also planned Naksh (Rishi Dev) and Keerti's (Mohena Singh) wedding on a grand (but relatively small scale) in the show.

Zindagi Ki Mahek

Zindagi Ki Mehek which is being shot in Delhi, aired a very elaborate and grand four-day wedding affair for their leads Shaurya (Karan Vohra) and Mehek's (Samiksha Jaiswal) union. From an angel themed cocktail party to a subtle yet grand wedding, this marriage had it all.

Beyhadh

Sony TV's much loved thriller Beyhadh telecasted Maya (Jennifer Winget) and Arjun's (Kushal Tandon) wedding this year. With lots of drama unravelling during the functions and even at the wedding (Arjun's mom stopping the wedding, Maya killing her father, the wedding mandap catching fire) their wedding was a will it or will it not happen' kinda scene till the very end.

Ek Shringaar - Swabhimaan

Kunal (Sahil Uppal) and Meghna's (Sangeita Chauhaan) wedding in Color's Ek Shringaar- Swabhimaan, was an impressing affair in terms of both - the entire setting with rituals and also drama. Kunal's father had kept a condition in front of Meghna's mother, Sharda that she has to marry off her younger daughter Naina (Ankita Sharmaa) to his younger son Karan (Samridh Bawa), who has a contagious allergy.
