On this auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, everyone is remembering and praying to Lord Shiva and continue to do so. And when it comes to the small screen industry, Lord Shiva has been a constant figure in an array of mythological shows over the years. As Lord Shiva has been an integral part of so many stories, it is inevitable to have so many shows having so many depictions. And while there have also been so many actors who have portrayed the character, actor Tarun Khanna has been one of those who has been synonymous with playing the role and loved by many too.
Talking about being typecast with the character on this occasion in an interview with ETimes TV, Khanna said, "Ever since I started playing Shiva, the trajectory of my spiritual journey has changed a lot. There’s a vast difference between listening to the stories of Mahadev while growing up and performing on the screen." He added, “I wasn’t scared of being typecast. To survive in the glamour industry, one needs to be visible. It was the first time in many years that I was getting the remuneration that I deserved. So, it was a win-win situation for me."
He also said, ""To be honest, Mahadev is considered to be the best-looking god of all, so if I’m being typecast as him, then it’s a huge compliment for me. The day showmakers stop taking me in this role, mein samjhoonga ki mera time chala gaya."
We are sure the fans of the actor would also keep loving to see him on-screen in the character.
