BB Marathi 2 | Abhijeet Kelkar: I want to work with Zoya Akhtar once in my lifetime!

Colors Marathi’s one of the loved reality shows, Bigg Boss’ season 2 has completed half of its journey and the game is getting intense day by day. A few weeks back, actress Shivani Surve made a comeback in the show. Shivani was removed from the game due to her health issues and some days later, contestant Abhijeet Bichukale made an exit from the show owing to some legal hurdles. Not just that, superstar Salman Khan made a grand appearance on the show on last week’s Weekend Ka War episode and added the extra dose of masala in the show. 

Amidst all the drama, twists and turns, in yesterday’s episode actor Abhijeet Kelkar got evicted from the show. We got in touch with the actor, and in an exclusive chat with India Forums, the actor shared with us about his experience of BB Marathi 2, his fondness for Salman Khan, his post-Bigg Boss plans and much more. 

Tell us about your journey and experience of Bigg Boss Marathi 2.

My journey in Bigg Boss Marathi was very mesmerizing and enriching. When I used to watch Bigg Boss Hindi seasons, I used to wish if something like this would ever get introduced in Marathi industry, because the Marathi industry doesn’t work the way Hindi industry does, but to my surprise this did happen. I was really keen on doing the show and thankfully I got the opportunity, I got selected and finally got to live my dream. I enjoyed every moment I was in the house. 

What was your game plan and strategy in the show? 

Actually I did not have a strategy or a game plan when I first entered the show. I of course had seen a couple of Bigg Boss Hindi seasons and Bigg Boss Marathi 1. I didn’t have a particular strategy in my mind, I just wanted to be myself and I think I portrayed my real personality on screen and I think that worked in my favor. 

Salman Khan graced the show for last week’s Weekend Ka War episode, how was the experience of shooting with him?

Unfortunately we didn’t get to interact with him on a one-to-one basis, but Salman Khan has always been very special to me. He was my first idol, my first hero whom I have looked up to for a long time. When his first film ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ released, I remember dressing like him and enacting him in front of the mirror. 

What are plans after Bigg Boss Marathi?

I’m waiting for good opportunities. I want to do a lot of things like theatre, web series and films. I’m dying to work with good writers and directors and I want to work with Zoya Akhtar once in my lifetime.
