Barun Sobti who was recently seen in Voot Select's series Asur has enthralled the viewers over the years with his performance in shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, web series Tanhaiyan amongst others. The Actor enjoys a massive fan following and has always provided quality content to his viewers. Barun has also been receiving overwhelming responses for his performance in Asur.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Barun mentioned that with regards to the other reactions, he thinks that people who have never watched television tend to imagine that people on TV can't act. He has also noticed that there's a huge a huge divide in the industry with respect to Television actors and Bollywood stars. The Actor is thankful that the web is filling in that void extremely well and he thinks that OTT platforms are doing what the film industry is unable to do right now.

Barun added that two kinds of people are getting in touch with him lately. One who says that they did not know Barun could act so well and the other who asks, who is this guy? He states that many people don't know quite a few TV Actors till today irrespective of how much they have worked in the industry. However, he feels proud to be able to write off that attitude with his work.

Barun further added that he feels that people on Television are seasoned actors and it's just that understanding of TV Actors gets bogged down because they keep doing the same thing. He concluded saying that don't write off actors because of their Television background as Television has some very talented people.
