'Balaji Telefilms is like a second home to me' - Pooja Bose

Pooja Bose who's been regarded as the most apt face to represent the character of Swara in Ekta Kapoor's Sarvagunn Sampann is all determined to fulfill the expectations that is tagged with her.

Here is the actress in an exclusive conversation with TellyBuzz as she shares experience working on the new offering from Balaji Telefilms..

This is your third project with Balaji Telefilms, so how comfortable do you feel at work?
Yes, it's my third serial and I feel very much at ease as I know the entire crew for the past three and half years now. So it's like a second home to me.

Could you share any memorable moment spent with Ekta Kapoor?
The most memorable moment that I can think of with Ektaji was when she called us for a meeting at her place after our shoot, and by the time we winded up and reached her place it was 3.30 at night. When she realized that I was damn tired after my day's shoot, she specially ordered a watermelon juice for me. And I can never forget that sweet gesture of hers (smiles).

What kind of a response are you receiving from the audience?
I'm receiving a good response, although I was a bit apprehensive about my appearance as a Maharashtrian, performing Lavani dance. But I'm happy that as of now people are appreciating it.

How much are you enjoying portraying the character of a Lavani dancer?
I'm thoroughly enjoying it, as I love dancing and I like representing it in all its forms. Above all, I have put in lot of sincere hard work in learning this dance form; there have been times when my legs used to bleed, yet I didn't give up. And to know that people like it, feels like my hard work being paid off.

What does the character name Swara mean to you?
I seriously don't know what the name means; I just know it has a Marathi origin and I will really try to find out the meaning.

There were talks that people aren't able to relate to you as a Lavani dancer, so what would you comment on it?
Actually I can't comment anything on it because audience response is always subjective. From my side I could try to appreciate the criticism and put in more efforts to make it more convincing to the majority audience.

What is the strength of Swara's character?
She is a very confident girl. Though she hails from a middle class family and people humiliate her profession, she stands against all odds. She is very determined and works for her family's survival, and for her dancing is like a holy ritual and she performs it with complete sincerity.

As per your character you would be dressed only in Indian attires. What do you prefer wearing in personal life?
I love wearing Indian wear, especially saree. I eagerly wait for an occasion to wear one and except for that I wear all kinds of casual wears.

According to you what kind of marriage tie ups exist in society?
These days the percentage of arranged marriages is comparatively low in comparison to love marriages, and I feel till the time people believe in each other and are ready to tie the knot I think getting linked to the institution of marriage is fine.

How's the rapport with the co-stars?
It's hardly some days that we have started shooting so haven't communicated much. As of now it's good and smooth.

What are your future expectations from the show?
I expect a lot from the show as the concept in itself is quite different. We have put in a lot of effort to create the contemporary village feel, and we have also done certain outdoor shoots for the same.
