For actress Sumbul Touqeer, who has been a part of shows like Imlie, Kavya - Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, and was last seen in Itni Si Khushi, Bakri Eid is much more than just a festival. For her, it is a feeling she has grown up with, something deeply connected to faith, family, and gratitude.
She shares that over the years, her understanding of Eid-ul-Adha has become more personal. “Bakri Eid teaches you that sacrifice is not always loud, sometimes it’s deeply personal,” she says. “It can be about letting go of your ego, negativity, or even habits that don’t serve you anymore,” she adds. According to her, these small, internal changes are what truly stay with you and shape you.

Talking about how the day begins at home, Sumbul says it is the simplest moments that mean the most to her. “Eid mornings at home will always feel more special than any grand celebration,” she says with a soft smile. “Waking up early, getting ready, offering prayers, and just hearing everyone wish each other with so much warmth, it is a feeling that stays with you,” she adds.
Like most families, food and togetherness naturally become a big part of the celebration. But for Sumbul, it is not just about the food, it is about the people. “The dining table feels different on Eid,” she says. “Everyone sits together, talks more, laughs more. There is a comfort and happiness that you don’t feel every day,” she adds.

She also speaks about the importance of giving during this time. “The most beautiful part of Eid is sharing,” she says. “It is not always about big gestures. Even small acts of kindness, giving your time, or simply being there for someone, it all matters,” she adds.
Ending on a heartfelt note, Sumbul says, “At the end of the day, Bakri Eid brings you closer to your faith, your family, and to people around you. And that is what truly makes it beautiful.”
