Baiju Bawra: Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt to start shooting for Sanjay Bhansali's next from mid 2023- Report

The eccentric director Sanjay Leela Bhansali just unveiled the first glimpse of his web series, Heeramandi, which Netflix supports. SLB spoke candidly about moving this huge endeavour to a digital platform during the launch ceremony. 

Now as per the latest reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has already begun work on his next film, Baiju Bawra, which stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, while Heeramandi is now shooting its final segment in Mumbai. Mr. Bhansali has been working on the subject for a very long time and has already written a compelling script for the movie because it is very personal to him.

As per the reports, preparation for the shoot has also started because he intends to start filming Baiju Bawra in the middle of this year. They are looking at either June or July. His performers have already received requests for dates. Production will start after the final dates are confirmed because a significant amount of the movie will be shot on Mumbai sets, according to the reports. 

It's interesting to note that this will be Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh's third collaboration, following Gully Boy by Zoya Akhtar and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani by Karan Johar. In addition, after Gangubai Kathiawadi, Baiju Bawra will bring the actress and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali back together. After Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, this will be Bhansali's fourth collaboration with Ranveer.

Meanwhile, the first glimpse of 'Heeramandi' has already sparked a lot of buzz amongst the audinces and it would be quite exciting to witness the realm of Bhansali with the stunning leading ladies of the show on Netflix.
