Actor Saahil Chadha has been part of several Bollywood films including ‘Baghban’, 'Section 375', 'Thodi Life Thoda Magic', and more. He and his wife were tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and underwent home quarantine for 20 days.
However, the two were once again struck by calamity. After a meeting near Mumbai's Xavier's College, on Wednesday (May 12), Saahil and his wife Promila were walking back towards their car - barely 150-meters away from their vehicle - the couple was hit by an ambulance from behind, reported ETimes.
In the accident, Promila sustained two fractures in the leg, while Saahil, who got dragged by the ambulance for about two feet, sustained injuries on his stomach and thigh.
The actor was admitted to the Bombay Hospital. The report also suggests that injuries are not of serious nature and Saahil might get discharged by Monday or Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the actor’s wife Promila has chosen to stay at her cousin's place in Cuffe Parade.
In his recent interaction with ETimes, the actor said that it was a miraculous escape for them as the driver was not driving too fast.
"The police have nabbed the driver," Saahil infomed, adding, "I practise Buddhism and feel that a big undesirable and much worse incident has been averted in my life. I am under observation for the next few days no doubt, but God has been kind. Whatever happened was extremely shocking and scary".
On the work front, apart from working on several iconic films, Saahil Chadha has also lent his voice to many characters in international films.
