Back To The Time When Sridevi Observed a 10-Day Fast For Rajinikanth's Health

Today marks a special day indeed and one that many will never forget. Actor and superstar Rajinikanth, who is affectionately called Thalaiva by the millions and millions celebrates his 70th birthday today.

After decades of entertaining the masses, the actor has now entered the eight decade of his lifetime.

Needless to say, an actor whose career has amassed such a long career is sure to have some loved co-stars and one of them was late actor Sridevi. And on this day, taking back to the time when Sridevi actually observed a 10-day fast for the Thailava.

The story goes back to 2011 when Rajinikanth had fallen sick while shooting for a film in Singapore. Later, Thalaiva was rushed to a hospital. To pray for his speedy recovery, Sridevi had prayed to Shirdi Sai Baba and had observed a 10-day fast. Yes, we are sure this story has surely made you emotional. 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to wish Thalaiva on his 70th birthday. PM Modi Tweeted, “Dear @rajinikanthJi, wishing you a Happy Birthday! May you lead a long and healthy life.” South superstar Mahesh Babu Tweeted, “Happy birthday, @rajinikanth sir! May you continue to inspire millions and redefine style in cinema. Wishing you good health, happiness and peace always!”

Goes without saying how loved the actor was and continues to be.
