The loss of actor and legend Irrfan Khan still hurts and pinches one and all even though it has been over a year and a half since it happened. But the man would have certainly felt proud to see his son, Babil Khan doing wonders himself as an actor. Junior Khan has multiple acting projects lined up ahead and one of them is the big-ticket web show, The Railway Men.

Co-starring stalwart actors like R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyyendu, it would be interesting to see he approaches his role. But as we also know that Khan has a knack for poetry as well where time and again, he has posted verses of poetry for different occasions.

Earlier this evening, Khan took to his Instagram handle to share an unseen throwback photo of his parents happily posing for a selfie. His caption though, that spoke of love, loss and grief came in as a stark contrast to the happy click. He penned a poetic verse that read, "My dreams are stirred in the smell of sand, after the last monsoon rain. I’ve kept my wounds open for you, for I’m afraid that scars can lie and I sure have learnt to feign.

Looking for a painting in the cigarette stains between your fingertips and a memory in the fumes of butane.

You lit yourself on fire, you burned yourself away.

Your ashes healed the soil, now in the wind, you play."

As deep and profound as the poetry is, we definitely remember the man and the legend for what he was.
