Ayushmann Khurrana auditioned for 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' before his Bollywood debut
In a recent interview, actor Ayushmann Khurrana disclosed that he had auditioned for the most renowned daily soap 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' before making his Bollywood debut.

Ayushmann Khurrana commenced his career in show business over 18 years ago when he won the renowned reality show Roadies. As a result, he landed a job as a radio jockey in Delhi before moving to Mumbai to pursue acting. While he earned his Bollywood acting debut with Vicky Donor in 2012, the actor recently disclosed that the opportunity came to him a year earlier. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Ayushmann was asked if he had ever auditioned for a TV show. Sharing about the same he said,
"Yes, I did. It was a Balaji show, I do not remember the name. Perhaps it was either Kasauti Zindagii Kayy or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Pulkit Samrat did that role eventually. Actually, I made it as an RJ by the time when I auditioned for the show. So I told my casting director bro, I am going'. So I could not do that TV show."
Ayushmann couldn't recall the name of the TV show, but it had to be Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi because Pulkit was in it.
Talking about his work front, Ayushmann was last seen in the film Anek.
Anek, helmed by Anubhav Sinha and presented by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks, exposes the insurgency in North-East India and the necessity for a unified India. The film was shot in the northeastern part of India. Anek will "herald in a different language of cinema," remarked Ayushmann. It is Ayushmann's second collaboration with director Anubhav, following the 2019 film Article 15.
Ayushmann has a bunch of projects lined up in the pipeline for the coming year. He will next be seen in Doctor G and An Action Hero.
