Sheila Sandhu produced, and Wilson Louis directed an award winning short film 'Holding Back' on cancer to rake in awards at National and International film festivals.

After winning laurels at 'California Shorts' and 'Nasik Film Festival' this labour of love starring Seema Biswas and Anant Mahadevan has won three more awards at the recently concluded 'Goa Talkies Presents International Short Film Carnival 2016'.

This 20-minute film also features Gutur Gu actor Kunal Kumar and Aditya Lakhia.

Malaysia-based Sheila Sandhu says, "One of the main reasons for choosing the Big C as my first subject was that I lost a dear friend to this dreaded disease. I feel humbled with this critical appreciation which has only emboldened me to work even harder in the future."

Sheila plans to highlight social issues before embarking on bigger projects.

The Kaalo and horror serial maker Wilson Louis, too had lost a dear friend back in 1999 in tragic circumstances (in a train) to cancer as the film shows. He stated, "I had promised myself that I will make a film on him. I am thankful to Sheila ji for having given me this chance."

Seema Biswas was unavailable for comment as she is shooting abroad.
However, Sheila contributed from her end saying, "She obviously will be very happy for she had tears in her eyes when she was first offered the role and had agreed to do it at just a token sum."
