Avinash Mukherjee Reveals that ‘Balika Vadhu’ reminds him of his roots!

Actor Avinash Mukherjee gained massive popularity by portraying the lead role of ‘Jagya’ in Colors TV popular show Balika Vadhu. The Actor has always kept his fans entertained with his outstanding performances in several shows and is currently seen in the show Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki essaying the role of Soham Singh. 

However, the Actor believes that Balika Vadhu will always remain special to him. He also mentioned that people often ask him which show he likes the most, Shakti or Balika Vadhu. He added that he would choose Balika Vadhu as it reminds him of his roots. Talking about Balika Vadhu, Avinash spoke to the Times of India and stated that Balika Vadhu aired till 2016 and was running in 27 countries simultaneously in various dubbed languages.

He added, “It was screened in Romania, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Dubai, USA, Russia and Europe, among other countries. I had gone for an event abroad once and the number of people who showed up was unbelievable.”

Talking about acting, he stated that while many actors say that acting is acting, be it any medium, he himself believes that actors have the paramount responsibility of telling a story and doing justice to it. He says, “while the commitment to the craft doesn’t change, there need to be some nuances that change, which fit the medium.”
