Actor Vikram Mastal who played the role of Hanuman in Anand Sagar’s Ramayan became a household name due to his on screen avatar. After starring in the classic television series, Vikram was often recognised as Hanuman everywhere he went.

I was just 21 at that time, but the strength and power of my character made people believe that I was indeed Lord Hanuman. Even the crew on set started treating me as Hanuman. My crew once told me that if they ever had to visualise Hanuman in a human avatar, it would be me. I considered this to be one of the greatest compliment ever received.”
