Talented actress Ashnoor Kaur is currently seen playing the role of Mini, daughter of Jodha Akbar fame Paridhi Sharma in Sony TV's newly launched show Patiala Babes. The show revolves around the mother-daughter duo and their relationship. The mother is shown to be a little under- confident and reserved who is ditched by her husband, and the daughter gives her wings to fly and supports her to become a confident, independent woman.

In a candid chat with India Forums, Ashnoor reveals about Patiala Babes, her character Mini, and a lot more.

Speaking about why she chose to do Patiala Babes, Ashnoor said, "I surely was getting many offers for other shows, but those offers were of adult characters, and I'm just 14 years old. I don't think it is appropriate for me to do such characters right now. One of the major reasons to choose Patiala Babes was that I'm playing my age."

In the show, Ashnoor aka Mini dreams to become a travel photographer. We asked whether she likes travelling, and how similar is she to her character in the show and she was quick to reply, "I love travelling, and Ashnoor and Mini are very similar. We both are bubbly and chirpy,and we both love our parents extremely. Also both of us are short-tempered and aggressive, and we both speak unfiltered. One thing that is exclusive to Mini is that she is a Karate black belt, and you would also get to see many action sequences in upcoming episodes."

About her bond with Paridhi, she shared, "Mine and Paridhi di's bonding is really nice and we get along really well. We also have a code language, we call it gibberish, and we use that when we are gossiping."

@Shaina

I sort of agree with Mini's move. It was clear that Babita was being forced to walk on a path that would cause her the greatest suffering in the end (since Ashok isn't coming back to her magically). Lovely and Biji are forcing her to change her personality and character, because Ashok's preferences have changed. Instead of rejecting Ashok and 'adopting' Babita as their daughter, they aren't entirely sure how to handle this.

If the family they are living with doesn't even support Babita, it causes a detriment to Babita and Mini's lives because neither are "wanted."

I haven't seen the recent episodes (apart from the promo on Friday), but I think going to the Mama's place was a bad move. Both Mini and Babita will need to learn how to approach the outside world, work, and feed themselves. They shouldn't have landed in the mama's place just like that either. There should have been communication.

I think her move was okay. It's just there was no planning. I don't think she ever foresaw that her relatives would be forced into such a corner (and the fufaji and dadu are useless in front of their respective wives), so she couldn't have planned it either (not to mention samaj kya kahegi, vagera). She still has faith in her relatives, and I think that will be her growing point. Rejected by all her relatives, she'll focus on her relationship with her mother and strengthen that bond at all costs. It'll be a good addition to the show.
